I thought I was finished with Diorammas when I graduated from highschool, but apparently not. This scene from Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Nights Dream" was done for a project in my Interpretive Illustration class. It's about a two feet high and a foot and a half wide. The figures are sculpted out of styrafoam and sculpy and painted with acrylic. The backdrop was made out of masonite boards and built up with Paper-mache, then painted. The fungus is shells and bits of bone, and the mushrooms are sculpy.
This looks excellent but I'm, not getting the full effect of the miniscule detail. Can you get more images, closer-up? I just have to see the expression on both characters more.
I'm in awe (even though it's a broad view of what appears to be an IDE -- intense detail experience -- piece). Might there be a rent-equipment checkout system anywhere around campus? Our facilities have three different venues to go through -- check-out through library, check-out through extended media department or take your piece to the photography lab to have it shot in professional lighting (by yourself or by someone in the department).
At any rate, I can tell it's great

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
